DOUBLE SPRINGS, Ala. — On Wednesday, April 30, the Listerhill Foundation’s Kicks for Kids initiative concluded its 2024–2025 school year today with a heartwarming Shoe Drop at Double Springs Elementary in Double Springs, Alabama. The event delivered 350 brand-new pairs of shoes and 1,750 pairs of high-quality Bombas socks to students, sending them into summer with a renewed sense of comfort and confidence.

As the final distribution event of the school year, the Shoe Drop marked a meaningful close to another impactful year for the Foundation’s program. Kicks for Kids continues to focus on removing barriers to learning by ensuring that every child has access to essential footwear.

“Our goal is simple—make sure every child feels valued and supported,” said Haley Brink, Director of Philanthropy at Listerhill Credit Union. “Ending the year on a positive note, surrounded by grateful students and dedicated volunteers, reminds us why this program is so important.

“I cannot express enough gratitude to Listerhill Credit Union for providing the students of Double Springs Elementary School with a new pair of shoes and socks. Watching the smiles on the students’ faces when they received their socks and shoes was priceless! Kicks for Kids was not only well-organized by the staff, but also a lot of fun.
