The Listerhill Cares Program embodies our “people helping people” principle by giving employees the opportunity to make our community a better place. By volunteering their time and talent, employees give back to the local charities and non-profits in their communities.

Listerhill approves an average of 350 monetary request each year and over 50% of these request benefit local schools. Every day, thousands of children around Alabama and Tennessee face poverty and the result is a lack of appropriate, safe shoes. The Listerhill Foundation's current initiative, Kicks For Kids, exists to raise awareness of this problem and offer real, impactful solutions to those most in need.

From Florence's First Fridays to Columbia's Mule Day, we get excited about meeting our members out in the community. Listerhill provides financial support and is actively engages in dozens of community events across communities throughout northwest Alabama and south central Tennessee. So when you're out, you'll probably see us with our classic red tent and smiling faces. Stop by and say hello!
One of Listerhill’s goals is to support what is important to our members. Every year, Listerhill ask members and employees to participate in a charitable contribution survey which helps Listerhill choose the fundraising efforts members are passionate about. Two non-profits that always rise to the top of this list are American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and St. Jude.
Listerhill and its employees have raised money for Relay for Life each year since 1995, raising nearly $100,000 over the last 10 years. In the Spring, branches sell t-shirts and wristbands to raise funds and awareness for this annual campaign.
Listerhill also supports St. Jude with an annual Fall fundraising campaign. In additional to this fundraiser, Listerhill donates $.50 to St. Jude for every deposit made into Good Start Savings account at no cost to you.
The Keystone Card is Listerhill's newest debit card that provides you an easy way to support UNA! For every purchase, Listerhill donates a portion of the amount you spend back to the University's students, alumni, athletics, and advancement programs.
Balancing a budget, buying a home or car, and planning retirement are just a few of the important financial decisions most of us have to make at some point. As a credit union, we understand the importance financial education has in making the best decision for you and your family. That's why we have initiated several financial wellness programs to empower our members and the community to to become more financially secure and establish good habits for wise spending and saving.
We promote higher education in the community by funding foundation scholarships and additional scholarships through local colleges.
Charlotte Y. and Albert E. Williams Scholarship at University of North Alabama - This endowment scholarship is open to all students who have demonstrated potential for success through GPA and college entrance examination scores with a preference to Business Majors. Scholarship applications may be obtained at UNA’s Financial Aid Department. Where to apply?
Listerhill Employees Credit Union/UNA Alumni at University of North Alabama - This endowment scholarship is open to all students who have demonstrated potential for success through GPA and college entrance examination scores. Preference is given to children of employees and members of Listerhill Credit Union. This scholarship is for one year only, but prior recipients may reapply. Scholarship applications may be obtained at UNA’s Financial Aid Department. Where to apply?
Joseph Wade Endowment Scholarship at Northwest Shoals Community College - This endowment scholarship is open to all students. Preference is given to applicants who are members of Listerhill Credit Union. Priority given to students pursuing a 2-year technical degree. Recipient must be a full-time student and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Each scholarship is for one academic year, but prior recipients may reapply for subsequent years. Scholarship applications may be obtained at NWSCC's Financial Aid Department.
Where to apply?
You can choose to apply your Cash Rewards as a statement credit or have the balance deposited into your Listerhill Share Savings Account. You may do so whenever you have a Cash Rewards balance (minimum of $5) in your CURewards account.
